So those of you that follow our blog will remember last month we talked about our multi-language update for Table Tennis Touch. You know the one that was going to drop after Easter? Well you might be wondering where it is, and I’ll tell you.
You see TTT has a large global fanbase and in order to serve that community to the best of our ability we’ve had to make some fundamental changes to our game. Now we’ve talked about this before so I won’t cover old ground but basically it’s meant reducing the word count and reining in our chatty little mascot Wiff Waff. We’ve also had to develop completely new techniques for generating stylised text and altering our UI to make it more language aware.
So what does all this mean? Well it means that after months of development we figured what difference does a couple of weeks make. Why stop at European languages when we can do better. And we have! Our next update will not only feature German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazilian), Turkish and Russian. We’re also throwing in some Asian spice and adding Japanese, Chinese and Korean too.
Yep TTT’s next update will ship with support for 12 different languages! Back of the net.
We’re also going to throw in a few extras too like new bat skins and wider character support for player names.
The finishing touches are taking place now and the update will ship in early May. Those of you who own the game will get the update free of charge and new comers, well you’re getting the best version yet!
